Liga MX Apertura 2026 schedule at a glance
The Apertura 2026 regular season opened July 16 and is scheduled to finish with Jornada 17 on November 20-22. As of August 5, all 27 matches from the first three Jornadas are complete, Leagues Cup is under way, and Liga MX is due to resume with Jornada 4 on August 15.
Tournament start, regular-season finish and final window
The later final window is a calendar contingency tied to the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. It is not a second final and should not be treated as the selected date until the participating clubs are known.

Completed rounds and the next Liga MX fixtures
Jornadas 1, 2 and 3 are complete. The next league round is Jornada 4, scheduled across August 15-17 after the opening Leagues Cup phase:

Leagues Cup and rivalry dates shape the Apertura schedule
Apertura 2026 starts in bursts rather than a simple weekly run. Three Liga MX rounds were completed before all 18 clubs switched to Leagues Cup, and the league returns before that cross-border competition reaches its September final.
Why Liga MX pauses after Jornada 3
The Leagues Cup first phase is scheduled from August 4 through August 13, with every Liga MX club playing three matches against MLS opposition. That explains the gap between Jornada 3, which ended August 2, and Jornada 4, which starts August 15. It is not a pause through the entire Leagues Cup: quarterfinals, semifinals and the September 6 final can overlap later Liga MX rounds for the clubs that advance.
Clásico Nacional, Clásico Regio and other key dates
Save a match through the Liga MX calendar, then use the watch planner closer to kickoff. Rivalry dates attract early attention, but venue and broadcast details still deserve a final check.
Apertura 2026 playoffs and schedule-change rules
The regular-season table determines the Liguilla field, but the exact December finish includes a special contingency. The official calendar sets quarterfinals for November 25-29 and semifinals for December 2-6; only the two-leg final can move to the Christmas window.
The conditional December final dates
These are the standard first- and second-leg dates in the official calendar.
If Toluca reaches the Liga MX final while fulfilling its FIFA Intercontinental Cup commitment, the title series moves to the later window.
Until the finalists are known, both windows are part of the schedule. Follow the Liguilla page and live standings rather than booking around one assumed final date.
Recheck kickoff time, venue and TV before every match
Confirm that the match remains in the same Jornada window.
Use the converted live listing, especially for late Mexico kickoffs.
Check the latest venue before tickets or transport.
Assignments vary by home club, service and country.
The Liga MX TV schedule is the last stop before watching. It is more useful on matchday than a static June calendar because rights and channels are attached to individual home teams.
